Chirping sound comming from cpap machine.
Good morning every one.. I woke up this a.m. with the mask still on and I was laying on my left side. I could hear a chirping sound and I first thought it was one of the smoke detectors. The sound was so close to me. So I took off the mask and unplugged the machine and sat there and listened for a while still thinking it was one of the smoke detectors. No more sound. I'm wondering if the machine makes a sound when the humidifyer is empty or some thing? Any one ever have this happen?? I have the ResMed S8 Escape II/ EPR and the Mirage Micro nasal mask and the H4i humidifyer. Sooo I'll have to get out the manual to see if I can find the answer there ,, now where did I put it? Well every one take care and have a great day, Oh yes,, I did get a great night's sleep last night with the mask on all night too. Huggies, Fay

I have the same machine and I noticed in the owners manual there is something called Leak Alert, mine is set to off, but I wonder if your's is still on.

I looked in the manual and I didn't see any thing in there about a leak alert. I have the S8 Escape II and there was nothing in the manual that I could find about a leak alert, but will look again. Thanks for the reply Huggies, Fay

I have the S8 Elite II and it chirps at certain settings too. It's very faint but I noticed it the first night I used it. I took it in as I thought there was a problem with it but we checked a couple of demo units and they both did it as well. I just ignore now when it happens. As I said, it's a very faint sound, really only audible in the dead of the night and it doesn't do it all the time. I've not been able to figure out what circumstances cause it to make this noise but I think its a blower whine.
