Respironics DS510 ?

Post by countman88 » Wed Apr 07, 2010 4:44 pm

I don't seem to have any problems with cpap and think I am getting reaonably good quality asleep.
Have used a F&P HC621 for last 10 yrs with Breeze Nasal Pillow masks. My sleep studies are bulk billed (free to me) but I can foresee that possibly changing, hence my consideration of an auto machine with data capabilities.
Would the DS510 be a good choice, (considering I need something reasonably priced as I have to pay the entire cost).
Is there software/hardware that needs to be bought too to provide the data I would need?
If I buy an auto machine, do I really need the data, or just set the machine to say 6-16, (I presently have my cpap set on10).

Thanks

I think the DS 510 is a good machine. I could not go without data. If you are trying to go from a fixed pressure to range data would sure help.

The DS 510 is the m series APAP with aflex. The C-Flex is a technology that enables the machine to decrease the pressure in the mask when the machine detects that a patient is exhaling. When the machine detects that the patient has started inhaling again,it will quickly ramp back up to the set pressure for therapy. The DS 510 is a good machine.I could not go without data.
