Yes! Who says you are in the boat in the first place! Maybe if you get their asses wet they might actually listen!

John, investigate taking benfotiamine. It's a B1 derivative; diabetes causes B1 to be pee'd away. This supp shuts down one of the biochemical pathways that causes the diabetes damage. Brownlee published a paper in Nature about the pathobiology of diabetes (he's a diabetic himself) in 2003; I can't find the link right now but typing that info should bring it up or just investigate this supp. I buy it for my legally-blind diabetic buddy who's seeing if it'll help.

I think we should nickname the two approaches after your two diametrically opposed tactics: From now on, we can just say things like, "I was heavy-handed with the Black Spinner, but the RT was young and new and he snapped to it and delivered what I needed" or "I JohnFishered my doctor and he was much more responsive this time around". What do you think?

In most cases I get good results when I do a John Fisher but in the case of my DME/RT I was forced into a Black Spinner to get what I wanted.
