Good Morning!
And I really mean good morning! I went in for my second night sleep study, the cpap titration thing. I had difficulties getting to sleep. I started with a nasal mask, but I've been sleeping with my mouth open for so long it just didn't work for me. I asked to be moved to a full mask which helped but every time I'd start to drift I would snore so hard it jarred me awake. But after a couple of hours they had built up the pressure enough that I was able to get some sleep.
The tech said that I slept for around 6 hours, with 3 hours of "perfect" sleep and that she had worked the pressure up to 15. Besides the welt across the bridge of my nose I feel amazing. I'm still somewhat tired, but I feel awake and refreshed. A feeling that is not quite like and yet not dissimilar to a few double shots of espresso.
I have an appointment with the sleep doctor in one week, which is I guess to get a prescription. Looking forward to getting more "good" sleep.

When speaking with your DME make sure that you address the welt on your nose. That's something that can be remedied by using a different mask. Don't put up with it until it gets bloody like I did to begin with. Glad to hear you had a good experience.
