OT Visions of sugar plums

Visions of TBP sugar plums dancing in my head today.
After 2 snow storms in 6 days I just had to have a look.
Took a drive up Juniper Pass to Mt. Evans. The first leg of the TBP.
It was a beautiful sunny day. 36F and wind blowing, chilly.
When you're on a bike, this sign builds character.

NO picnics today.

...yea, the road is closed.....except skis and snowshoes.

No Gatoraid at the lodge today, either.

When I first read your post title, I immediately thought of the delusional thinking sometimes experienced by the solo RAAM riders (shows where MY mind has been of late: viewtopic/t50730/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=49 ... 59#p456259). I'm not sure of the origin of the acronym TBP, but I'm guessing it's the pass where you took the pictures.

Not an insignificant amount of snow, there, podner! Makes our little dampening of the streets a pretty lame excuse to leave the bike in the garage today.

I forget sometimes what a magnificent place this country is...thanks c-man for reminding me with those incredible images! Here the hardwoods are starting their annual orgy and pollen is in the air sniff cough mouth breathing. My sedum has come back and is everywhere, the pansies are happy happy even the Halloween colors (nearly black), I see Jonquils everywhere. The Bradford are out in full snowy glory and the Japanese Magnolias are just past their peak color...gorgeous. Spring.
