Devilbiss Intellipap Software

HAving used this machine for nearly a year, I am going to guess that the new software will work with the old hardware-- the smartlink module is essentially a data logger. I would not be surprised though, if your machine will need a firmware upgrade to get the most out of the new software. luckily, these machines are field-upgradable with a special cable you can either buy or rent.

Even though I no longer use my IntelliPAP, I still think it is a good machine, especially for the people who respond well to it. I am awaiting the results of a sleep study that might actually suggest that the IntelliPAP was giving better therapy than my current VPAP auto 25. The software, while not as refined and detailed as the Resmed software, is much easier to install and use.

We are working on SmartLink 2.0 which will work with the existing SmartLink module. There are numerous upgrades to the software which I will summarize as soon as I have a complete listing.

Just bumping this - I bought the Intellipap auto - and need to get the software - the smart code is good but I want more data to give to my dr. What if I bought the module first and then the software later? Any more firm date as to when this will be available?

I'm curious to learn what upgrades are being made. I'd like to see more detailed reports from the data module.

The new software is available, but cpap.com is only offering it in the $149 package until their stock of 1.6 software is gone. But, whose going to buy 1.6 software if they know a new version is available? I won't. I have the smart module - just need the software. I'm a bit frustrated.

Hi, this is my 4th day on IntelliPAP Auto-Adjust. I have kept the pressure range of 6.0-15cm. I am yet to get complete rest. I do not have the Software. What would be the outcome if I keep the pressure at the default range, 4.0-20.0 ? I am interested only on my apnea and hypopnea episodes. I do not require anything related to compliance, ramp etc. Should I purchase the software? Thank you friends for your suggestions.

What pressure was prescribed from your sleep study?
Leaving the machine with such a wide range is probably not giving you the best therapy.

The smartlink module and software is a worthwhile investment if you want to monitor your therapy with the Intellipap.

Just a side note: I've read a ton of posts here and they mentioned in one that even if CPAP is good, great, and doing it's job, but you perhaps have another condition (known or unknown) that can cause fatigue until that second condition is also treated well you might just think that CPAP is a failure. I have Type II Diabetes, and if my blood sugars aren't less than 150 or so I am still very tired and foggy headed - even with my CPAP machine. I am one of those that had a fantastic titration study, CPAP seemed like a miracle - but I also made sure that my blood sugar was running normal so I'd have less variables. When both are "right" I feel better than I have in years.

Neither of these conditions is easy to manage by any means, but I find CPAP far easier than chasing after my blood sugars these days. So I have had some pretty off days and my Intellipap says I had an average or better than average night for me. Check my blood sugar and there's my answer. I don't know what level of control you have but the ADA website at diabetesdotorg has a group of people very much like these here dedicated to helping with all things diabetes.
