Soft Palate Removal

Don't believe it. Might work for a while. He probably wants to buy his wife a new beamer for christmas...LOL..

Ugh....my ENT wants to do this along with a tonsillectomy if the CPAP doesn't work. Hence my panic when I was snoring this weekend with the sinus congestion. I agree with chrisp....I haven't read anything that supports the sleep apnea resolution.

My Doc told me this : Surgeons get paid to cut. If they don't cut something they don't get paid. He was a GP. My ENT said my apnea was to severe to be helped by surgery/tonsilectomy/radiosonoblabla....He did remove a polyp which he later called a tumor the size of a grape from my nasal area. This did help somewhat. A tonsilectomy on an adult with apnea is a big deal...They must take extra care when they put you under anesthesia and bring you back..Read about it and be sure to take a copy of your sleep study with you to show them. And have them sign a copy to keep them honest. Just hand it to him while he is having you sign all his releases..Doc : If I'd only knew I would have done things different.....You did know because you signed the sleep study....I didn't have any problems for the short time I was under and felt great..Never slept that good in years..If surgery were a solution I'd do it ...But the effectiveness is questionable ...

I had surgery in 1985, when i was about 35. Can t remember the name of it(name was about 15 letters long). It definitely worked for years, but the apnea returned a fews years ago. I know here in minnesota somebody is working on a surgery for it(something new). Unluckily i lost the article but i ll keep looking.
