TELL THEM TO STOP!!!!! YOU ARE THE CUSTOMER!!!!! My DME asked me if I wanted to 'sign up' for automatic shipments. I said NO.

Willie's Quote..."I've got a collection of brand new hoses all nicely sealed up in their factory bags, never opened. Wish I could sell them for what the DME charges Medicare for them. Crooked DME'S send everything the reg's allow every time I order a mask cushion. They should be charged with fraud. "

I told 'em and told 'em and told 'em that I only wanted a cushion.
Time after time I got the whole setup.
Finally I ordered a cushion and got just a cushion.
Then the DME got bought out by a bigger outfit and now they are back to the same old thing.
Order a cushion and get the frame, cushion, hose, headgear .... everything they can possibly charge.

Here's a link to a discussion we had about that a while back:

I should also add that it makes the droplets that are still in the hose smaller, which helps the drying time (more surface area?).

ResMed machines have a cool-down feature that runs the blower at a much lower level than treatment for an hour after shutting off the blower. After washing my hose, I hook it to the machine and start it for just a few seconds and then shut it off again... this is enough to start the cool-down process and this seems to dry the hose pretty well.

I wash it at around 9 AM on Saturday or Sunday, then hang it over the staircase until bedtime, which is usually around 10 PM. Then I turn the machine on and let it blow out the hose a bit before hooking the mask up.

Duct tape it to a ceiling fan and spin it dry

We are supposed to wash the hose? LOL! Just kidding!! What is making it "dirty"? I never wash mine anymore--hoses ae so cheap and the insurance covers them every 6 months so I toss mine and wash the new one befor first use and then that is it.

I am in the "don't wash"- I got a new hose every three months, and changed it out then..then realized I could ask to not receive one so often, but still will just change it out with a new one. I keep an extra.
