I would really like the S9 to have the ability to do a firmware upgrade via the SD card (not sure if this is currently possible)
in order to allow bug fixes, improvements, etc.

Resmed: Suggestions for improving the S9 range
Re: Resmed: Suggestions for improving the S9 range
I'll add any new suggestions to the list as they seem to still be coming in (& good suggestions too).
In particular I like the idea of asking them about upgrades - they used to do it with the S7 models where you could do a software upgrade of a machine from an elite to a spirit (cpap to auto) but, back then, they charged an arm & a leg for it.

xPAP and Quattro std mask (plus a pad-a-cheek anti-leak strap)

Here's some more...
- please fix the data skew problem
- please change the amount of detailed and high res data from hard coded days to percentages based on the total card size
- please get rid of the power brick as it takes up space and additional weight in the travel bag
- please consider providing a larger SD card (price would be marginal, e.g. $5 increase)
- please provide a plug-in oximeter sub $200/£200
- please strengthen the SlimLine hose as there's been reports of the hose splitting
- please provide the cleanable H5i reservoir as standard in all regions
- please fix the discrepancy that sometime arises on the Sleep Report screen vs Detailed screen on the S9 where AHI/AI doesn't tally up between the two screens.

Re: Resmed: Suggestions for improving the S9 range
I use it every sleep session and have done so since I got my APAP. For me, it's reassuring to know that my mask, which has a higher vent rate than any ResMed, is fitting as well as I can make it...that I'm starting out the night as well as I can. I really dislike the loss of this granularity...smiley or frowny doesn't really tell me much (besides their thinking I'm an idiot). Gotta admit seeing DreamDiver demo it last Sat at our ATL meeting that the data and heated hose are calling in dulcent seductive tonesJStaggie wrote:Oh for heaven's sake, so far as I'm concerned the smiley face is fine. I only care if the mask fits adequately. Beyond that I can check the leak rate to determine if I have fit issues while sleeping. For the majority of users, I'd suggest that the 5-point scale of mask fit likely proved confusing and less than helpful.

One more suggestion...
As the S9 hose comes out the back, I have it facing away from me -
How about the ability to rotate the LCD display so I can read it easier from that direction.
