Getting Warmer Weather and Full Facer

Post by jucs » Mon Mar 15, 2010 12:42 pm

I actually am using a hyrbid. It's getting warmer outside and hence warmer in the house. I am feeling the "heat" now with this mask and can only imagine what it will be like with another 10 degrees in the house. Do people turn off their humidifiers in the summer?!

Or any recommendations?

I live in Canada and I use my humidifier in pass over mode (water in the chamber but no heat) for the warmer weather. I never have my humidifier past 2 even in cold weather. I do not use the integrated humidifier that comes with my machine though, except for travel. I have the Fisher & Paykel HC 150 stand alone humdifier for home use. If I used the integrated one for my machine I would probably still use pass over mode in the warmer weather.

Jucs,

I start getting warm at 65 degrees and have a fan blowing on me all night while I sleep. It keeps me from sweating so I can sleep dry!!

In Wisconsin it gets v e r y cold in winter and the furnace drys out the house. I normally set my humidifier at 2.5 - 3.0 in mid winter and 1.5-2.0 in Spring. I use passover mode only in late Spring and Summer.

Uh Oh......"Passover Mode". I, too, have been wondering how I would deal with my FFMask when the warmer weather comes along. How do I find out if I have Passover Mode?

I normally have mine set at 3. At the end of last month we went on a cruise to Western Caribbean. Temps were in 80's, I keep it set at 3. Instead of refilling the reservoir every other day it was once in 4 days. I think it is kind of automatic from what I used.....
Thank you,
