I prefer text also with link to that equipment at CPAP.com.

If you are capturing equipment used here in your database, it would be useful to have a link to "most common equipment used by forum members" somewhere for those in the market or just curious.

It's going to be okay in the end; if it's not okay, it's not the end.

Do they rotate?

Because the four gerbils down the street rotate every time they put on their ballet tutus.

Extremely impressive if you ask me!
I was thinking more along the lines of compatibility with standardized 3D glasses and all. That way we could like try on the masks in 3D to check for fit, leaks, and comfort.

I'm not sure what the answer is. My thoughts are always with the new users trying to get help. Many of them pick the wrong equipment and it takes several posts to MAYBE get them to put the correct equipment in their profile. Between the manufacturers reusing the same names in each generation of equipment they come out with (Plus, Pro, Auto) and the name similarities (Escape, Elite) and the probability that the new user doesn't even (really) know what brand or model they have, it can make for some interesting threads. How many times have we seen "I have a ResMed Plus/Pro"? (or some variation)
A long time ago, I decided to use both......and added a little personal user info with the text in the bottom section. For one thing, I think the pictures give a better visual reference to the newer forum members who may like to SEE what equipment some of the others are using.
Assuming I counted correctly, the list of machines to choose from in the profile is 74. Some of them don't even have a manufacturer's name in front of them. And, a number of them (like the Respironics Legacy series) are no longer available for purchase from CPAP.COM.

I just don't think it's going to matter all that much, whichever way it's done, because it's going to depend on how the new forum members set up their profiles (IF they do).

I agree with Den.

Johnny, first of all, thanks for asking us what we want. Nice to be asked. I agree with consensus on text, but really, in the end, its not that big of a deal. Frankly, I'd rather you give us all a $10 off coupon on your products, and save the money you'd pay a web programmer to reprogram the forum.

If you open the PM screen from the User Conrol Panel link on the main forum screen , you can use Google toolbar's speller -- which is very user friendly.

I prefer Text

I would prefer the Option of Filling In the Blank for equipment not listed in our options

I would like somewhere on the forum page a link to cpap.com like there used to be

And frankly I'd like to see the Equipment options updated and include the manufacturer (brand) name as well as model name. i.e. Respironics for the older models, PR for the newer models (System Ones); Puritan Bennet or Covidien; Resmed, Fisher & Paykel, DeVilbiss - and for those w/a brand such as Breas the option to "fill in the blank".

It would be nice, but not necessary, IF we opted in a member's POST to mouse over the TEXT equipment model and get a click link to the picture of that model
