I have the Resmed S8 autoset spirit 11.
i have not been back for a few days as the EPR setting 1 was making me feel so headachey and tired.

Last night i turned the EPR off totally, i was a little worried as to how i would feel this morning, but was pleasantly surprised i did feel human again this morning.
I also noticed that the machine was much more responsive durring the night and i wasnt waking up with that adrenaline rush and taking a gulp of air through my mouth With the EPR 2 setting i was waking with that adrenaline rush too many times each night.
So why was EPR 1 making me so horrid in the morning but not EPR 2 ?

Also my AI and HI scores were alot better last night for the first time in months.
My machine is set to start at the pressure of 5. but i average between 7.8 - 9.8 pressure, i dont know what the max pressure is set at.

The other problem i am batting with is, very dry and uncomfortable at the back of my nose and throat each night, i have the humidifier up on the highest i can tolerate to try and help but doesnt seem to be helping.

Why does the EPR turned off work better for central apnea ?
