has anyone flown on QANTAS using their CPAP

Post by harry33 » Sat Feb 20, 2010 3:07 pm

I have to make some long flights, 1 lastinng 24 hours, qantas is CPAP friendly so Ive booked the tickets and got approval for my CPAP use and they will give me a seat with a power point, even though I have a very cheap ticket

I was told they get a lot of CPAP users and hope they dont change their mind and ask me to pay a higher cost to get a seat with a power point, this was done to me by their compeditor, V australia

I generally avoid qantas due to their very poor cabin service and rude cabin staff but am told this has now improved

so has anyone here made any flights on qantas using their CPAP and how was it?
australian, anxiety and insomnia, a CPAP user since 1995, self diagnosed after years of fatigue, 2 cheap CPAPs and respironics comfortgell nose only mask. not one of my many doctors ever asked me if I snored

If your service is operated by a 747-400 aircraft, you will probably have a seat near the galley, as they tend to be the ones close to an in-cabin power outlet.

For me, every aspect of flying with QANTAS has always been excellent.

Cheers,

Bill

Normally if you book using a call in center, the representative can help you choose a seat with a power option. And if you book online, then when in doubt, go to SeatGuru.com when you are picking your seats for a flight. Depending on the airline and the type of jet, you should be able to choose a seat with a power port.
