glad to meet another member with the same device and same firmware and same time zone. I can assure you that Barry's tip work and once you do this, your reports will look good. Before this _ everyday I see RED bars and split sleep sessions. One word: ugly

cpapernewbie and others,
Thanks for this great feedback about the system one. It sounds like an awesome machine.
hayeswildrick wrote:...Quiet. In fact, it's funny. The first night my wife complained it was too quiet, and now she could hear my breathing through my mask! In the past that was covered by the sound of the machine. No complaints after the first night.

This has been my biggest concern with getting a System One. If it sounds like a jetpak (aka M-Series Pro), I would probably not get as much sleep. If the S9 is still flaky with the software, maybe the System One is the better current choice. Still, I'd like to see what the price on the S9 is going to be before I plunk down a pot of money on the System One.

Hi,

I have nothing to compare my System One to, but to my ears, it is nothing like a jet pack. In fact I find it significantly quieter than the air coming out of my heater vents. I know this because on my second night I thought the machine turned off, only to realize that the heat had just gone off.

The sound is different than I remember the ResMed machine making at the sleep lab, but I do not find it loud at all. It is certainly not disturbing me, although the machine and hose I guess, seems to have put off my cat who is not coming in the bed room any more, which is probably a good thing all in all.

Regards,

Brooks, aka Skier757

agree with Brooks, CPAP noise is not an issue with PR Sys 1. In fact, in my experience, the noise from the mask the only noise heard through the night.

The other issue we have with PR system one is the quality of the software. While EP2 is not for consumer, still the software designer is not meeting simple quality standard. The GMT actually shall be one of the menu that should pop up early before the first use. Instead it was buried into the Company setting deep inside. This forum is going to see many postings from members asking on the GMT offset.

I just wish PR read these comments direct from consumers so that they can design a better hardware and software for consumers. I am still puzzled on why PR decide to place the filter at the bottom of the device... If i want to buy a vacuum cleaner, I will not consider the PR System One

Carp, I have got a problem. I try to enter the clinicians menu on my pr1 and when the little memory card is inserted it starts beeping rapidly and says something like the card is inserted wrong please reinsert, I do so and it doesn't help, keeps beeping. I took the little card out before I held down the buttons. It didn't beep at me but it doesn't let me change anything although I can see more choices, I think. Do you think something is wrong with my machine or is it me?

when you do the setup by pushing the 2 button, the SD card should be IN the SD card reader. DO NOT TAKE this out, just leave this card inside the PR system one.

You need the SD card inside the device so that it can record your settings - your pressure range, your display options, etc etc

Just a thought - maybe data on the card is corrupted, you may need to format it and re-insert it back. you'll lose the old data and the pr1 will recreate the required directory structure.

shambharwani, agree with yr analysis of the situation. If formatting for SD card, the 1 GB shall be formatted as FAT32, is this correct?
