Thanks for all the great information. I was all set to get the S8 Autoset II and was supposed to receive it today, but with the S9 being released to the U.S. this weekend I am waiting to see what it will cost and when it will be available in my area. I like the climate control feature and the central detection feature. The information that all of you have furnished will help me get started with whichever machine in end up with.

Re: What range for APAP
I wouldn't change the pressure if I were using C-Flex or C-Flex Plus. I don't think adjusting the pressure up is necessary when using C-Flex. C-Flex works very differently from the way EPR works. With C-Flex, the therapeutic pressure comes back in before exhalation is finished. With EPR, the drop in pressure (below the prescribed pressure) stays in place throughout exhalation and during any pause before breathing in would be attempted.SleepingUgly wrote:Rested Gal, how would you set it if he was using Cflex Plus at the various possible settings of 1, 2, or 3? Just my personal opinion, though...and I'm not a medical person.

Re: What range for APAP
I increased my min. pressure from 6 to 7 last night. Max. pressure is still at 20. My AHI went down to 3.7. Monthly average is around 5.5. And I feel that I rested better. However, the leak also went up to 0.16. I'll stay in this pressure range and see how the AHI numbers are coming...
By the way, I'm trying to see my EPR settings for Resmed Autoset S8 Vantage. I entered the "Clinical Menu" and I don't see any EPR option. The machine is in Auto mode not CPAP. Am I missing something?

Thanks. I tried these yesterday but I'm not seeing the EPR option. However, I just changed to CPAP, there the EPR option comes up but not with the Autoset setting. I thought that I can get EPR with Autoset... Maybe not with this machine!

Re: What range for APAP
The S8 Vantage autopap is an older machine that does not offer EPR when being used in auto mode.
That's why you don't see EPR in the clinical menu settings when your machine is set to operate in "auto" mode.
EPR is available in the S8 Vantage autopap only when that machine is being used in "cpap" mode.
EPR was added to "auto" mode when the S8 Autoset II autopaps were introduced.
