For those who trust their cpaps to the checked luggage:
The entire Austrian Olympic teams luggage was misdirected. My airline is the official airline, we have an "Olympic support team" who tracked down and arranged to have the luggage delivered just in time for the opening ceremonies - so the athletes had something to wear. (note it wasn't our company that left all the luggage in Frankfurt).
And then there was the figure skater who's luggage was finally found in pieces some where in the US.

My Co-worker put his cpap in his checked luggage and all he had at the end of the trip was a busted machine. The housing was cracked. The machine was DOA.
