Info display has no data after use! (Risp)REMstar Pro C-Flex

Post by ilenedreams » Sat Feb 06, 2010 12:38 pm

Machine is Respironics REMstar Pro C-Flex with heated humidifier.
First use was last night.

This morning I looked on the info screen to see how I did and NOTHING was recorded there!
The data disk is in the back, was checked before I took it home.
What's going on???

Thanks

Which specific model do you have? (there have only been about a half dozen REMstar CPAPs made with the word "Pro" in them.)

Please fill out your profile with all of your equipment so we may try to help you.

OK. I see you have filled in your profile with some equipment......but the machine you have listed is like the one I have.....which is about 5 years old. Does yours actually look like that and what is the name on the top of the machine?
Mine is actually a Pro 2. There was an older "Pro" (without the "2") that was NOT data-capable. There was also the "M Series Pro" and the most recent "PR1 Pro" (Philips/Respironics). It has a white face plate on the top.

You may have to wait 5 days before you see a recording. Did you check the directions?

The legacy (tank) series doesn't have info on the LED. As Den pointed out in that series you need the Pro2.

We can help you find data (if it exists) if you can tell us what machine you have - check the model number on the top / bottom and post back what it is and correct the equipment on your profile (if needed).

Thanks for the super fast replies! Gosh I thought it would take a day or so. Must be lots of people on here, wonderful!

My machine has a data card installed in the back, its a smartcard by PNY and has a Respironics tiny label on it. The lady who gave me the machine said to come back in one month so she can download the data and tell me how I"m doing.

So, its only been on night. Looks like the 'Info" section tells you 'average' of 7 days. I was looking to see if it listed last nights, I suppose not. After reading the manuals...three of them given to me, I have come to the conclusion that Risperonics doesn't pay their manual writers very much as the topics are briefly described and not much info there. There website is equally sparse.

My invoice from the pharmacy store says CPAP PRO with Smartcard, CPAP REMSTAR Heated Humidifier, CPAP Comfort Gel Mast sm, CPAP Deluxe Headgear Respironics.

The machine itself says, "REMStar Pro C-Flex +". I'm surprised you are saying this is an older machine and somewhat disappointed. The lady had 7 of them in new boxes ready to go to new clients (by appointment only, & after insurance authorized it).

The machine seems pretty good. Last night was a bit weird and the noise of hearing myself breath was keeping me awake for quite awhile on and off throughout the night. Kind of annoying. I put on my usual silicone earplugs (the anti-husband snore cure) but it seemed to make my own breathing sound louder. So, I turned on the ceiling fan on high and soon ilene was dreaming.

Perhaps I need to wait the seven days.
Love this forum, so much to read!

What is the model number?

Does it look like

or

That first one is the latest model.

I didn't think you would have an older one if it was "new". Like jules said, the one at the top of the list......the one with C-Flex+ is the newest one. It IS data-capable. There should be SOME data in the LCD at some point and the function to display it may be turned Off......it probably needs to be turned On in the Setup menu.

It looks just like the one with the #3 ball. That's the one!.... but instead of saying REMstar Auto, mine says REMstar Pro C-Flex+

Brand new.

It has the heated humidifier connected to it, called "System One".

That is the PR System one. It has LED data if you get it enabled. Now, I don't know how as I am using that 3rd kind of machine myself but others here can tell you how.

I dont know if it is related or not, but I accidently moved the white lock and made mine read only. If yours came that way the machine cant write to the card and may be storing the info until it can write to the sd card. The slide goes to the front(part with metal contacts).

That's a great suggestion. I will need to remember that with these SD card models. I keep forgetting about the write lock feature with SD compared to SmartCards. Thanks for reminding us.

Yes, I checked the slide lock and it is towards the metal contacts.
I had compared it to other sandisk cards I have just to be sure.
Looks like it recorded last nights data, but it only averages it in with the data already there. At least unless you have the software, which is another issue as I can't seem to install it, some database issue. So, the machine is all I have to look at.

My AHI went down from 2.0 to 1.9... silly thing, I don't like this averaging and would love it just to report each nights recording instead of averaging. I looked at the card itself, by sticking it in a card reader and then into my laptop. Just numbers and lots of files that mean nothing to me.

Secret data!! Whoa!
