What software do I need to read my card's data?

Post by pb5927317 » Sun Jan 31, 2010 4:18 pm

Everyone,

I have a Respironics Rem Star Plus CPAP with c-flex. I have verified my smart card reader on my desktop can open the disk successfully. I think to make sure I am doing this stuff all right I do need to start paying attention to my data. I just need to make sure whatever I do, I don't mess up my data card.

Anyways, what software do I need to read it? Of course I am running Win 7 64 bit at home, but I can load a virtual XP machine or something to work around it.

Here is the techy data from the card:

SerialNumber=P00645043720F
ModelNumber=250P
ProductType=33
DataFormat=UDF
DataFormatVersion=2
Family=xPAP
FamilyVersion=2
SoftwareVersion=V1.22
FirstDate=1263392735
LastDate=1264972693
BasicKey=077c00026266
ErrorKey=00040400158c
PatientFolderNum=0
PatientFileNum=43
EquipFileNum=2
ValidCheck=4009

Plus = no data collected except usage (compliance) No AHI, No AI etc

Pro and Auto = data are recorded

your profile is showing a "tank" or legacy model and the plus on that model didn't have a card

however, as has been pointed out, even if you could read the card, you aren't going to get anything worth getting

which model do you really have? the new PR1? in that case you need encore 2.x however for a m series it would be 1.6 or later

but again, not worth getting software for no matter which series - get the pro or an apap and then ask again

Remstar Plus 250P.....trying to fix my profile.

hmmm...I don't see the actual Dr. for several months because the respiratory therapist says they wanted several months of data. I am not sure what the point of compliance data would be for that.

look for the machine and humidifier that start with PR system 1 or something like that

oh and welcome to the sleep apnea world where all docs care about is if you used the machine and not how good or bad the numbers are

In order to get data on the Legacy model it must be the Pro2. The standard Pro will not record data. The "M" Series Pro will record data but not the Legacy. You will be wasting your money on the software because it won't tell you anything that the LCD screen will tell you and that is how many hours you used it.

The compliance data is necessary to prove to insurance that the machine was used.
As others have said, you need a different machine to track the machines' effect on your breathing.

Prob need a different doc too but try talking to this one first about getting a better machine BEFORE it is too late.

My list of machines that record "full data" (AHI and leak info) and those that don't -- updated through Oct. 2009:

DME might not understand what "Full data" is.

I assume what the original poster wants, and what I and, I'm sure, many others want, is a way to read the file content on these cards, specifically the data files with format referred to as UDF version 2:
DataFormat=UDF
DataFormatVersion=2

In my case those data files have names like:
0000000001.005, 0000000001.002, 0000000001.001, 0000000002.005
etc.

Tell me the format of these files and _I'll_ write software for us all to read and output sensible information.

Ignore previous, there are free versions - under development at least.
For example:

(this site isn't letting be post the actual a(dot)b format)

Does it look like this:

Image

If so, it's the model listed as "PR System One REMstar Plus..." in the equipment list.

Call it a "PRS1 Plus" and everyone will know which machine you're talking about.

The only data it records is when you turn it on and off.

By the way, the card is called an SD card. "Smartcard" is a card that looks like a credit card.
