I started with an Activa, I found that mask not bad but I had rain out and a small mark on the face the morning. I was able to sleep 7 to 8 hours since the first week, sure I wake up several times because of the water on my face but still.

I decided to try a Swift LT to see if the rain out stoped. Let me tell you those nights (4) where the worst I had ever had since the begining of OSA tratment. I made 3 night in a row the I need to come back to the Activa to recuperate a bit. I tryid a forth night the Swift LT, I wake up after 2 hours and I said to myself the Swift test is FINISH!

I don't understand why the Swift was a so great torture. The pressure on my sinises was terrible and I was not able to breath out. Maybe your body don't really like the nasal pillows. I had even nightmares with those nasal pillows. Now I know that kind of mask is not for me.

Last night I slept 9 hours (I have been on cpap for 7 weeks) I wake up only once. I had a AI=0, I felt rested. But that's not the case every day! My memory was still not doing well so I decided to start vitamins and suplements and I have seen an improvement. Today I hit a loss of energy and I have been grumpy with avery short patience.

Remember we need to be patient and try different things but let the time to see if that works or not. Each person is different and the speed of recovery is different from one person to another. My allergies doctor was agains cpap therapy telling only 1% of the people was able to adjust to that but when I will see him I will tell him cpap was less terrible than I expected.

All this to tell you, don't give up, you will be better with the machine that without it. Continue making presure to your doctor and ask she for answers if she has no more answers change doctor if necessary, go see an ORL if needed or an allergies doctor, don't stop seeking for the solution!
