Which APAP for lower pressures?

Post by Lyn » Thu Sep 29, 2005 6:15 pm

Is there one manufacturers APAP machine that works better for those that need to use a lower pressure, around the 6, 7 or 8 range?

Lyn, some autopaps work better for some people than for others for other reasons, but as far as I know the pressure range you're talking about wouldn't be a factor at all in deciding on a machine. Any of them should do fine for you. (I'm not a doctor, though!)

I agree with rg, it is more the algorithm (the set of rules used to govern the decisions the APAP makes) than the pressure range.

That said, I'm using a GoodKnight 420e at a pressure range of 6.5-10. I don't think I've ever seen it go over 8.5 though, so I'm right in the range you are asking about.

It is working very well for me.
