Oh, I know. As I've noted before, my profession can require me to work for hours and hours and hours. All too often it involves lots and lots of preparation, starting jobs and then waiting for long hours. It's all too often incredibly boring. But then in my profession boring is good. So, I really do feel for the sleep techs. It's always interesting to talk with them. Everyone I've met tries to share their knowledge. And I appreciate that. Plus a good tech can make the entire experience much better. But even if I know they have plenty of time to help someone like me, I still don't like to be a nuisance. Why? Simply because you are right. It can be a horrible occupation. I'ld rather not make it too "interesting" for them.May you live in "interesting" times!

I have to chime in and add my two cents. They did not make me or ask me to sleep on my back, side, anything, at my two sessions.
Her working area was huge. I was in it and it was nicer than my first apartment She had a kitchen, a couch, two recliners, a TV/DVD player. And a bunch of equipment.
And I also think it is adorable that someone met their girlfriend at a sleep study. Ah, romance. I need some in my life too

I want to work there! My office is an old storage closet with 3 monitors cramped on a tiny desk Ive only been here since October so am hoping I can prove this lab is important and maybe I can get moved to a bigger area. Thank you JohnB for defending our profession. I have commented on my job in about three threads now, and it is always nice to have someone back me up!
