I can't believe these pompous, condescending responses from those pushing CPAP to this guy's desperate pleas for some kind of help with his sleep other than CPAP. "Death is inconvenient" is a horses as response to the problems this gentleman describes, which isn't unlike difficulties I experience. CPAP isn't the answer to many who are prescribed just that. So save the "why do you come to us" replies to people so desperate for sleep they'll go anywhere for answers. Incredible! You guys only reinforce my belief that sleep centers are run by folks bent on prescribing CPAP as a solution, even in you came with an sword through your midsection.

Remember, this is a CPAP forum, so the majority of the responses are going to support CPAP as a standard of treatment.

I to am a newbie with little experience here. In my sleep test I averaged 43 non breathing periods per hour. My oxygen level went down to 55%. I started out on the wrong foot on this board by engaging in a dispute with a member about the benefits of Obama care. I now realize that minds that are made up will never change. This all leads up to pointing out to you that if your mind is made up I cannot change your mind, and then you must realize that you will not change anyone's mind. You have purchased all the equipment, or it has been purchased for you. If you can, you may want to give it a decent chance. Not all improvement is apparent in how you feel. I have high blood pressure and no symptoms. This may be a rare serious posting for me as I prefer sardonic replies. However I am still searching for a mask system that works for stomach sleepers. But patience and calmness may extend your life more than anything. Good luck on your diet and on your decision.

Ok, I have been on cpap full face mask for 3 years and still can’t stand it, I get claustrophobic from the damn hot air blowing though and everyone says try this try that, sorry but if you have mild sleep apnea you WILL have problems trying to get used to it, it’s a fact, even the sleep doctor said that and recommended that I get a Mandylor device or how ever you spell it, but I haven’t tried it yet, but I cannot put it on and sleep a whole 7 on 8 hours, more like 3 hours wake up then put more ice in my vape, if you can call it a vape, the vape in these machines just blow hot air so hot I can’t breathe and making all the adjustments on machine doesn’t help, I’m gonna get a zyppha because this machine sucks, I have friends with very bad sleep apnea and they all put it on and they are out, my wife will roll over in bed and it must freak me out because I yank my mask off and sleep without it, I get so mad will some times throw the mask against the wall and say that piece of junk, so if you ppl with mild sleep apnea and are starting out, it doesn’t get better like ppl say, it’s all bs, just get mouth devise from your dentist if you have med to mild sleep apnea you will be glad you did, because cpap sucks if you have mild sleep apnea

"Cpap Blows" is the name of a very funny book about cpap use by an early forum member.
Humor has helped many of us deal with this necessary, but miraculous thing.

Is Covid raising the dead around here lately?

These zombies need to be put out of their misery for good.

This is a CPAP FORUM.
Go look for an alternative treatments forum.
I cannot direct you to a particular site, as I never needed to look for one.
Good luck.
