I'm looking for a really good HH and am looking at these two. Has anyone had experience with both of these units that would be so kind as to fill me in on the pros and cons of each?
Here's my situation. I currently have an HC150 that I use as my primary HH with an Elite S8 II. It works fine other than periodic rain out. I also have an older Respironics ProStar2 (I think thats what it's called) with the attached Respironics humidifier/ base. The Respironics humidifier attached (underneath) to the ProStar2 crapped out over Christmas while away from home and needless to say, it was a very long, very dry week. I almost dreaded going to sleep at night.
So, what I'm considering is this: 1) buy another F&P HC150 and use it with the backup machine for travel only; 2) buy the Devilbliss 9200, use it as my main HH with my S8 and retire the HC150 I currently have to the travel bag with the Respironics.
Is the 9200 worth an extra $50 (price difference on cpap.com), or is the HC150 just as good at less money? Btw, the shapes of the two units (flat and rectangular/ round and taller) don't really make a difference to me... either will serve my purpose. My main concern is how well, and how long they put out nice, warm, humid air.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

The HC150 holds 400ml of water and the DeVilbiss holds 525ml -- over 25% more.

CPAP dot com states that "Capacity to the fill line is 480 ML" for the F&P HC-325 chamber used by the HC150 (and other F&P family of humidifiers). I measure it as 500cc. Either way, the difference in volume appears negligible.bearded_two wrote:The HC150 holds 400ml of water and the DeVilbiss holds 525ml -- over 25% more.
