Red it's up to you and your doc weather or not you get a new titration study. My doc set my machine to auto and dropped the pressure. When it was evident the next morning that my pressure requirement was down she had the settings narrowed up a bit. I had the surgery in June and went in for a formal titration in October. I forgot to ask, is your machine an auto?

Great news with this update. Sounds like everything was successfull.

I'm embarrassed to say i don't know what the settings are. I've read the report and I don't see where it sates the setting, or I should say I don't know how to interpret the report. It does say "The pressure was gradually increased to a final pressure of 7 cmh20

Is there a way to find the settings on my machine?

an S8 Compact isn't an auto... doesn't give any data other than hours used... it's an Escape

But he should still be able to find the pressure setting. How can he do that on that machine?

I'll take a look at my manual.

By the way, I watched (on TV) the ball drop in NYC, put on my mask and did not wake until my wife's alarm went off at 6:30 AM. I had a good solid 7 hours of sleep with the CPAP. Much better! One nostril bleed a little this morning. I think I need to keep it moist with saline spray. I wonder if I should turn up the humidifier? I might try that tonight.

You can also try some nasal saline throughout the day. Their is also a gel or spray called ayre that is good.

I believe more people use too much humidity rather than too little. If your CPAP process is working properly and your room humidity is above 45%, you don't need supplemental humidity.

If your nasal passages are dry in the morning, you might benefit from a little more humidity.
