Tony Little Micropedic Therapy Pillow. Tried & Returned

Post by RedBackFur » Wed Dec 23, 2009 7:30 pm

Just thought I'd let y'all know I gave that Tony Little Micropedic Therapy Pillow a try. It felt nice and squishy at the store, and thought the way it was constructed that it could work with my mask.

Unfortunately, it feels like a brink once you lay your head on it, and unlike a Buckwheat hull filled pillow, it won't hold a divot to keep your mask from being pushed up when you lie on your side. It is constructed of tiny Styrofoam beads in a baffled spandex case. So it was slippery, and unable to hold a molded shape. It is quiet, however.

Just curious if anyone else gave this one a try. I had purchased mine at Bed Bath and Beyond. I tried it for 3 nights, and then returned it.
http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product ... U=16709328 It was about $40.00 with the 20% off coupons that always show up in the mail.

Back to my Novaform® pillow for now.

I own the Homedics version, had gotten it from Linen 'n Things years ago.... It was one of two pillows that I alternated between pre-CPAP. Both pillows have since disappeared, and I'm not sure where they are.

Apparently, UPS showed up today while I was at work....suspect its the pillow I ordered from Pur-Sleep. Though I was sure the email said USPS....

Guess I'll find out tomorrow...hopefully UPS is still delivering, even though my place of work is closed due to weather.

UPS won't leave packages for me when I'm at work...while there's lockers by the mail box that USPS will leave stuff in (otherwise, I can fill out the card saying to redeliver my package on Saturday). Which is why I kind of favor USPS deliveries of my CPAP stuff.....

Anyways, I used the micropedic pillow for quite a while in the beginning....because it was tough...I could kind of sleep in limited positions on the pillow....namely I could sleep in on left, but not my right side or could stomach sleep....but only one way. But, whatever I tried....I was always with sore neck and shoulder....so I'd switch to the pillow that I can only sleep back on...but took care of the sore neck problem....at least it used to. Since I mainly back sleep, either pillow worked....though I back sleep and go side to side with my head a lot. And, it was annoying that the side I preferred to be on....resulted in mask leaks.

Some day I hope to find the pillows that work....both at home and one that I can take with me when I travel. Thought about taking the micropedic pillow on my last trip, but don't know where it has gone to and didn't look too hard for it. The two previous trips I wouldn't have had room for a pilow (though the one previous I considered buying another bag so that I could bring a few extra things, including a pillow...but wasn't able to find one...) But, I had survived the trip with the pillows that were there.

But, last trip.... well, it was bad...and I'm still feeling bad....

The Dreamer.

I have seen a new travel pillow called the roamwild surround pillow advertised. It has a memory foam collar and two side inflatable supports to rest your head against - might be worth a try?

After 5 years, I imagine they found a pillow. Jim
