Interesting the mental image we carry in our heads of ourselves, versus the view that others have of us.

Peg, if you're the "ugly" one of the family it must only be relative to having 5 beauty queens for sisters!

Just about all of us (myself included) seem to think ourselves much less good looking than how others are viewing us via this avatars. It is really making me question my own mental image of myself!

Ditto on what Bill said about you. What a shock to hear you say something like that. My first reaction was, she's adorable! I swear, you must have drop dead perfect sisters to say/feel something like that or you have been lied to your whole life, either by yourself or someone of importance around you, to make you feel like that. Peg, you look great, as do the others that have posted, too.

Yeah, he's a cutie. The problem is at 15 months he knows it. Anywhere we go where there's women he's the center of attention. At least when we go to a resturant we get good service because within five minutes of sitting down every waitress in the place has to come over. I'm hoping he doesn't develop too bad of an ego.

Funny thing about his name, while we were on our honeymoon in Ireland we stopped in a little china shop over there. There's a company that makes really nice china in the UK called Aynsley, which the shop was selling. We thought at the time it would make a pretty girl's name but didn't want to make it a first name. If we ended up having a girl we would use that as a middle name. We also thought that Sarah would make a great first name and fit with the middle name. Total process was about ten seconds.

When we found out we were having a boy that all got dropped and we started working on boy's names. We couldn't come up with something between ourselves so my wife bought one of those "100,000 baby names" books. Going page by page we got to the "R"s before we could find a name we could agree on. Total process, about a week and a half. I always heard that having a boy was harder but I didn't think it would start that quick.

Bill & LoRi,
thanks for the nice compliments. As was said, we don't see ourselves as others do. Never fear about my self=esteem though. I have been blessed with and over abundance of self confidence and bravado.
We are all our biggest critic, that's what keeps us modest and humble.
