PurSleep Aromatherapy "recipes"

Post by PranaHuffer » Thu Dec 10, 2009 6:11 pm

So... I finally order some PurSleep thinking it was about time to have some real fun with this
<:::what? CPAP Fun? What are you on?:::>
<==Yes! I LOVE my CPAP==>

I ordered the starter pack and then, assuming (do I need to break down what happens when we "assume") that my favorite scent would be FRESH, I added a trio of Fresh refills (yeah...didn't know I could get them singly on the product's site) and when I got them... well, let's just say that FRESH, to me, is not very FRESH. I kept wondering why the room smelled exactly like when I forget to close my car vent as I pass that block long compost heap on the way to work. GAG!

I'm sure that's just me...I know that some people love the smell of compost in the morning. But not this girl. Not in the afternoon or evening, either...and certainly not in my CPAP air. Good thing I also got that sample pack, which had a whole bunch of other interesting scents, so I can still play with my new toy.

Well, just now I went to the product site and started poking around to see what I could do about the 3 bottles of FRESH I got (uh, actually 4 - including the one that was in the sample pack) and I discovered a reference to BLENDING.

Apparently, (like I wouldn't think of this! well, I didn't... ok) people can BLEND these scents on the pad. DOH! There were mentions in a description saying "this one is great mixed with X or Y" and I got to thinking... what are other huffers' favorite PurSleep aromatherapy recipes?

If you have any ideas, I'm game! I need to figure out if something can tame this FRESH scent into the sort of citrus-ey yum I usually love. Hey! I like Orange Oil floor cleaner, Lemon duster spray, and Lime margaritas and mojitos - so I thought that FRESH would be the ticket for me - and maybe it still is when blended with just the right companion to tame that sharp note I'm not handling well.

Can't wait to hear if anyone has tried any yummy combos! I'll mention that I'm NOT a fan of lavendar so I'll pass on those, but other may love to read of them if they like the lav'.

p.s. I love these smileys! OK, maybe it was overkill... sorry. I'll try to use less next message

That's funny. We all have such different experiences of every aspect of cpap! I have used PurSleep aromas ever since the beginning--love nearly every one of the big batch of many flavors I purchased, and to me, "Comfort" smells exactly like the cleaner/disinfectant used in all public toilets! I would love to hear if anyone has found a blend to make that scent useable for me.
