Say What? Insurance woes - again!

Post by sleepyred » Wed Sep 21, 2005 3:04 pm

Here I vent again! I'm waiting for approval for a cpap for Upper Airway Resistance and every time I call, I get the same "You don't have sleep apnea!" NO DUH! The DME company called and said "Well, they are still working on your case, so why don't you just buy one from us!" At a mere $1,100! I don't think so! Then the insurance company started on "well, maybe you need a test where they make you sleep with a tube down your throat to make sure you even have UARS." My next question will be "how much will that cost?" "Wouldn't a cpap be cheaper not to mention LESS invasive?" Good Grief! I even had a 5 night trial with a cpap and slept well for hours!

So, here I sit feeling sorry for myself and so tired of not only being tired, but explaining to my kids why I am so tired!

I would see if "billmyinsurance.com" through cpap.com could be of any help.
