I am not sure about that. If you arise with compressed air in your stomach and then eat breakfast, the air might be able to force stomach acids back into the esophagaus. On some mornings I have had this feeling. If I feel bloated upon awakening, I try to be careful to move around and burp up any excess air before I eat breakfast.

Klaatu barada nikto.*

Which I believe means, "Do I go to the dentist for one of those things?" I have a really strong gag reflex.

You know, as this thread progresses I sound like I'm completely falling apart physically. Which I don't think I am. I guess, like everyone else, I've just learned to avoid the stuff that doesn't work for me. Now all that avoidance is coming together.

I think I need to move to Australia for the winter...I'm sure that will help if I can't work the sleeping standing up thing.

The first two nights were great, now I'm back to things suck. I've been waking up with a fluttery feeling in my chest. The AHI's are up to 2.7 ave (which is good for me historically, but way up from the 2.0 I had for the great two nights).
No egg nog, cut out most of the chocolate and nuts, no Diet Pepsi, so the stomach is better. The air in my stomach problem is almost completely alleviated from, I assume the back sleeping. Dr. appt next Wednesday.

What's a girl got to do to get a good night's sleep? Before I was diagnosed with apnea, I would find something that worked great for a couple days, then stopped working. It has continued with the CPAP. Even though I don't (remember) wake up as much through the night, I still feel sleepy during the day.

Thanks for letting me whine. I'm so frustrated.

I can see how yoga moves can add to gerd.
I have gerd, gastroparisis, paraesophogial hernia and so on. Anyway, bending over, unfortunately can cause stomach contents to come back up. With my slow digestive system even 2 hours of eating prior to activity wouldn't be enough:(
Doctor can give answers and sometimes fixes are huge decisions.
I am not sure that my CPAP makes it worse. Getting sleep is just a good thing.

I would cut out any caffeine or pop, but leave the nuts (and probably the eggnog, depending on what's in it).
