dry mouth

Post by peetk » Mon Nov 30, 2009 9:12 pm

I'm looking for suggestions on beating a dry mouth in the morning. I have been using a quatro full face mask with a auto set S8 with humidifier for several months with no problems, but recently have been waking with an incredibly dry mouth.

You can still have a dry mouth with a full face mask.......if you're mouth-breathing in your mask.
If you have too much humidity, it can close off your nasal passages and cause you to mouth-breathe. Turn your humidifier way down or Off.
Also, doing nasal cleansing/rinses before bedtime will help keep your nasal passages clear.

Try keeping your tongue firmly planted to the roof of your mouth to keep from mouth-breathing.

I had a quatro and had a dry mouth unless I taped my mouth. I concluded that the mask must have been leaking. I purchased a new mask - Full Life- and dry mouth is gone with the same settings on humidifier as the quatro. I keep humidfier or 2 or 3.
