I recall hunting turkey in Illinois as a lad. I also recall my Dad raising about a dozen turkey chicks for several weeks one year until they were big enough to release into the wild.

The OSA patient died quietly in his sleep.
Unlike his passengers who died screaming as the car went over the cliff...

Well, good sir... we can pull your little finger, but we just can't seem to pull your leg about the subject matter:
According to Dr. James L. A. Roth, the author of Gastrointestinal Gas (Ch. 17 in Gastroenterology, v. 4, 1976) most people (2/3 of adults) pass farts that contain no methane. If both parents are methane producers, their children have a 95% chance of being producers as well. The reason for this is apparently unknown. Some researchers suspect a genetic influence, whereas others think the ability is due to environmental factors. However, all methane in any farts comes from bacterial action and not from human cells.

Ever the optomist, I see the potential in this dire caution. Just think of this as an untapped alternate energy source! We can celebrate and supply power at the same time. The only downside is the process. Just how would we "tap into" this alternate power source?

Perhaps as I'm lulled into a post Thanksgiving meal food coma, I will give it some more thought ..

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yup... the FAQ above confirms your suspicions---about unharnessed combustive energy that is.

Again, HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL!

Sorry... it's just that your nearly four years of off-color topic detours had me fooled.

Back to the mutter of all threads...

Blue Hens? Pah on the Blue Hens!

I'm honored just down the road by the fabulous

South Carolina Gamecocks!

Image

Now there is my style of fightin' birds. No chickens in there.

Go cocks! Thrust 'em hard!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Carolina_Gamecocks
A Gamecock fan in a bar leans over to the guy next to him and says, "Wanna hear a good Clemson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clemson_University) joke?"

The guy next to him replies, "Well before you tell that joke, you should know something. I'm 6' tall, 200 lbs., and I am a Clemson grad. The guy sitting next to me is 6' 2" tall, weighs 225, and he's a Clemson grad. And the fella next to him is 6' 5" tall, weighs 250, and he's a Clemson grad. Now, you still wanna tell that joke?"

The Gamecock fan says, "No, not if I'm gonna have to explain it three times."

Rooster:

28 members of our extended family got together today from various Western States. Coincidentally, we had a 28 pound turkey. It didn't equate to each person consuming nearly a pound of turkey. With left-over turkey going home to eight families, the hostess estimated an average serving of 3 oz. per person. Perhaps we saved a lot of room for pie.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. It is my sincere hope that the state of our Nation will be improved by next Thanksgiving.

Reduced unemployment and freedom for all.

Jan
