Re: New ResMed and Fisher & Paykel machines
F&P has recently launched a new autopap machine called "ICON". It is currently available in Australia with projected release date in the US sometime later this year. It has a clock along with an mp3 player built into it. The humidifier is also located within the unit itself. Some websites located within that country have more details. Hope this helps.

Looks like a retro radio - But with F&P penchant for quality, imagine it is one nice unit.

F & P also has has the 254 out, which, I believe is an auto. A few people on this forum have them and the software data looks good.

Also looks like yet another flow generator with the hose connection on the rear. A sign of the times, methinks!dsm wrote:Looks like a retro radio
Cheers.

NOT a particularly bright sign, tho, methinks.

The hose comes out of the back at the top. Shouldn't be too big an issues. All the F&P machines I had or used (2xx range) had the hose come vertically out the front. We are only talking 4-5 inches difference in location.
I think it also has a swivel that the older models didn't.

Re: New ResMed and Fisher & Paykel machines
So has anyone trialled/purchased the F & P Icon Auto yet ?
I am in Australia and new to all this looking for my first machine. I have been using a hired Respironics REMstar Auto A flex.
I am looking at purchasing the F & P Icon Auto as they look great and much less intrusive but would like to get some feedback from someone who has used this machine if possible.
I like the idea of it simply replacing the spot my alarm clock used to take up plus the MP3 would probably help me drift off to sleep, not to mention less cord mess.
In fact it sounds to good to be true. I am just a little worried that they have compromised some of the performance for the sake of the bells and whistles.
It would be great if I could get some real feedback from someone who actually has one of these. I am also wondering how your Sleep Doctor likes it in terms of data delivery etc ?
There doesn't seem to be any personal reviews anywhere on the net yet so any feedback would probably be most appreciated by many people who are considering purchasing one.
(If I do go ahead and purchase I will come back and give my feedback too.)
