Hi Sunrunnerdave

If you do a google on the CMS-60D you can do a price check with the different suppliers.

One supplier which has a manual written in American English is

http://www.semedicalsupply.com/cms-60d.htm

but there may be cheaper suppliers elsewhere.

A search on Ebay might also be worthwhile.

Whatever you do, make sure what you get is data capable with software.

cheers

Contec (CMS) makes a wide range of recording pulse oximeters with basically the same primary functionality but in differing form factors, differing power arrangements and differing data connection approaches - so you'll come across a wide range of model numbers. All of them seems to be fit-for-purpose according to user reports, both here and elsewhere.

I'm using a Contec 60C, which meets my particular needs very well.

Cheers,

Bill

Bill,
Do you use your pulse every night? How long do the batteries last?
Thanks,

I use the CMS Model 50-E Pulse Oximeter. It's a fingertip model...and stays on my finger all night!

Dave.....

I highly recommend the SPO-7500 from TurnerMedical.com

The equipment is good...the software that comes with the Oximeter is good....Turner Medical is good.

Good overall value.

And - when I had a problem w/an early model of the SPO 7500 I found SPO Medical excellent to work with. Turner Medical had told me if I had problems they would handle them but I didn't need them as SPO Medical took care of everything, plus provided a lot of support. Both Turner and SPO were good to work with in my experience. I'd do business w/both again happily.

1. No - usually once a month, to cross check against my xPAP data.

2. The CMS-60C has a rechargeable Lithium battery, which will support several nights operation before needing recharging (via the USB port)

Cheers,

Bill

Hi SunRunnerDave

If you go to

http://beauty.shop.ebay.com.au/?_from=R ... acat=26395

you will have a choice of about 170 oximeters, mostly reasonably priced.

I got a CMS-60D from one of these vendors in China, cannot remember which one. Takes about 2 weeks.

Mine works great, has software etc, everything I need. Cost about $270 Australian, but probably cheaper now. You can then get the American English manual from the link I gave previously.

I use mine about every 7 - 10 days, just to make sure my SpO2 level is still above 88%. I also use it daily for safe naps in my recliner, without the machine, and with the alarm set, so that I do not desaturate.

I also lend it to friends, if they are worried they might have a sleep problem.

cheers

After exhaustive research on this Forum -

CMS-60D
$209

Has everything you need, alarms, software, continuous... Overnight recording. Regular AA batteries, utilization of power minimal, particularly in record mode. Fun for the whole family! My seven year old loves seeing his pulse. Who could ask for more...

EchoStore worked out just fine...

P.S. Got refillable printer cartridges too, one stop shopping

I bought this one a couple of months ago. It works great. I initially had a problem getting it to communicate with my PC correctly, emailed them about it, and they sent me a link to the latest software version, which cleared up the problem.
