has anyone tried sticky sealing

Post by Krazy Kat » Thu Nov 12, 2009 11:02 pm

Problem: framework of my zzzz mask broke and left me with a really bad fitting old mask to try to survive until new mask arrived.
Solution: thank goodness that I was raised many miles from the nearest village and learned how to be innovative, SO out of despiration of fighting for a seal ... I found some very waxy stuff meant to heal rough heels, and I really slattered it on my face where the mask fits AND on the mask seal ... IT ACTUALLY WORKED! Before that I had tried to line the inside of the seal with foam meant to be used to winterize doors. My next thought was to try honey!
SAVED ... NEW MASK ARRIVED TODAY ... ordered a Hans Rudolph V2 and it was love at first try.

Question: Does anyone have a Hans Rudolph V2 extra small mask/small headgear or a small zzzz mask that didn't work for you???? I cannot get insurance because of pre-existing conditions, so online shopping is my saver. I'm looking for another mask as a backup ... I DON'T EVER WANT TO EXPERIENCE STICKY SEALING AGAIN!!!!!

Good lab-ratting, Krazy Kat!

Glad your new mask arrived soon after.

As you can tell, I'm a neewbie to this site, and I want to tell you thank you for making me feel welcome. I used to live in your neighborhood about 20 years ago, then moved back to the Montana prairies where I grew up. You are right, I could be a Kreative Kat ... being creative is just a given on the prairie ... can't always just go to a store to buy needs. Thank goodness for online, and thank goodness for online to have people to communicate with.
