S8 Vantage first impressions

I just found out that my S7 can be deprogramed and changed to an APAP but the fee is $299.00.

What are the important differences between the S8 Advantage and the S8 Escape? I have the latter - can it be reprogramed to be auto-pap? My sleep doc was very excited about the Escape as being the latest and greatest and now I am confused....

I found out it is the Elite and not the Litghtweight that can be reprogramed.

I could just . Why do doctor's not look into these things?

xPAP and Quattro std mask (plus a pad-a-cheek anti-leak strap)
