Anyone ever try the Tony Little Micropedic Therapy Pillow?

Not yet. Be interested to hear someone's story.

I've gotten so used to sleeping on contour foam pillows (been doing it for 20 years), that the idea of a "shifting" pillow sounds icky to me now. I really like the way the foam pillow stays in one shape and doesn't bunch up and go flat in weird areas and then you have to fluff it up and punch it, etc.

I've heard great things about the buckwheat hull pillows, too. PurSleep is selling one now (see the link to PurSleep below in my signature block). But again, I just can't go there. It just sounds icky to me now.

Cheers,
B.

I was all set to purchase one of the cpap pillows and then I read some of the reviews and now I don't know which to buy. And $70.00 for a pillow to me is a lot to pay and then not like. I saw this one on TV and it looked like it might work.

I have one of the Homedics microbead pillows and find that it traps heat and becomes too hot to sleep on in anything but cold weather. After reading a number of reviews of similar products, I was quite surprised how many people described such pillows as "cool." I'm at a loss to explain this unless some new formula for microbeads has been developed. In other ways, my pillow is fairly comfortable, quite similar to the feel of dry sand and adequately deformable for xpap mask use. If you do get the Tony Little version, I'd be most interested in learning if you find the pillow warm or cool.

I got two of them.
They are terrible.
They do trap the heat and get uncomfortable.

You can form them to fit your head and mask,
but after just a few minutes, they feel like
you're laying on a rock.

I do NOT recommend them.

YMMV

I take it you mean these bad boys.

Received a jumbo set for a gift and I liked them for a while, then found myself on the hunt for another type of pillow.

Rotate the pillows like I do the masks it seems...

Babs, do you use a special brand of pillow or just any old contour memory foam? We've tried regular foam pillows and did the slice&dice but not the contour. It's either the mask quest or the pillow quest! Thanks, Dori

Isn't that the truth!!! I've been rotating between pillows for two weeks now, trying to figure out whether I prefer the buckwheat or latex -- and I still can't decide! My mask gets in the way with either. And I keep lusting over various masks at https://www.cpap.com too!

I think I have tried every pillow out there.
This is still my every night pillow.

Now that's an idea, carbonman! But it looks like it may be memory or another type of foam (?), which I have been unable to tolerate, as it doesn't breathe well and makes me perspire. I've found that I sleep much better with all natural materials -- cotton, natural latex, wool, etc. My bed is like a fluffy cloud! I do need to figure out this "pillow thing", though. Last night I covered my buckwheat pillow with a wool sham, but it still seemed a little too firm. I'm going to try that again tonight, as it may just take some getting used to. Perhaps I will be hacking away at my latex pillow soon.

The quest for the perfect pillow is indeed like the quest for the perfect pillow. Even in the category of buckwheat pillows not all are created equal. I have been fan of buckwheat pillows for twenty years or so. I started using them because I was having a rotating should cuff problem and was looking for something that would offer me stability and flexibility at the same time for my head and neck and shoulder. Started out with the Sobakawa pillow that I saw on QVC that many years ago. Over the years I started trying other brands and then was intrigued by the memory foam pillows but always ended up going back to the buckwheat.

It is my personal opinion the pillows manufactured by Bucky Pillow company are superior to most brands out there, however I have not tried the that pur-sleep makes but it seems to be a little small for my needs.

The bucky pillows that I have used for the last 8 years is the following one:
Buckwheat & Millet Bed Pillow
Ingenious double-sided design gives you the best of our two natural fillings in one luxurious bed pillow: buckwheat for cool, stable support and millet for dense, silky softness. Too full? Just unzip and remove some filling. Comes with a pure white pillow case in elegant quilted knit fabric. Packaged in a useful vinyl tote - great for storage, shopping, or going to the beach! Machine washable. Also check out Small Duo Bed Pillow

Nw that I have been diagnosed with OSA and have to use a ful facemask, I have been very fortunate that I have only had to focus on finding the perfect mask and not pillow as well, I have been able to use my pillow with great comfort and and confoems to mask with ease.

Oh, I saw that pillow when I was pillow-shopping online recently! It looks very nice. Wish I could try it out, but I'm "pillow poor" now, after having purchased several in the last few months!

Raggedykat,

Love the cat in your avatar!

When I first saw your topic heading, I thought "tony" "little" "pillow", as in "an elegant, small pillow". I had to click on that since I'm on a pillow quest. It took me a while to figure out that it was a pillow endorsed by Tony Little, the exercise guru! I'm still a little slow on the uptake, I guess.
