At a bit of crossroads, need some advice
Re: At a bit of crossroads, need some advice
I'm not ready to give up on it. I just want to figure out what's going on. I think I may try 12.6 tonight, maybe with an EPR of 1.

Hi,
You might want to give your body a bit of time to adjust to each change. It is OK, and might be beneficial to stay a few days at a given pressure level before making the next adjustment. The urgency might be higher if your AHI was out in left field.
I'd be interested in hearing how it goes at 12.6. Please do post back tomorrow.

I have nothing to add to the mask discussion, but several folks here have found that using moleskin anywhere where a mask rubs alleviates the problem.
Testing with an oximeter is a great idea. Also exploring other causes of fatigue and fogginess. Good luck, and keep us posted!

The night went fairly well at 12.6 w/ EPR1. Leak was .04L/s with an AHI of 2.7 (AI .2). I feel a bit better/less foggy. That was more pressure than I've ever used so the skin at the bridge of my nose is a bit red. We'll see if it subsides. Regardless, the Activa is going back. It's not long enough and irritates the bottom of my nose no matter how low I seat it. It's a really small large. If the cushion had a larger opening, I would definitely keep it as I like the mask and the ability to side sleep comfortably. I think I may get the Mirage SoftGel. We'll see...
