Reading Stats on Remstar Pro M
I am new to Cpap (4 days) and just started using a Remstar Pro M Series with Cflex and built in Humidifier. I do not see in any booklets they gave me how to read the results. I do not have a card reader or software yet, but my machine seems to show some results. As far as I can tell, it only shows 7 and 30 day averages. Is there a way to show a single night so I can see if I am making progress or not ? I wanted to start a log like some have suggested and check last night figures each day. I cannot afford the card reader and software right now as I had to pay for the machine out of pocket due to lousy insurance. I have MidWest of Tennessee through Beechstreet and they cover nothing. I will be changing them but with Pre-existing will still be paying out of pocket for a while.

Please be aware that resetting the LCD data to zero each night involves going into the clinician menu so be careful that you don't change something you didn't want to change.
Also be aware that often when we reset the data to zero the screen will show zero the next day until sometime in the afternoon or evening depending on where you live. So don't panic.
It is doubtful that any insurance will ever cover the costs of the software and card reader, no matter how good the insurance.
==========Resetting LCD Display Data====================
To reset LCD Therapy data (does NOT erase any data from SmartCard):
1. Hold down the (<-) (->) buttons while plugging in the power on the back,
wait for 2 beeps or 5 seconds, release buttons.
2. Press the (->) key and navigate to Therapy screen.
3. Press and HOLD down the (-) minus key for 5 seconds and/or until therapy data is reset to Zero.
4. Press the (->) key to scroll back to main menu, press (+) key to enter Setup or
On/Off button to exit.

Re: Reading Stats on Remstar Pro M
Thank you very much for the fast reply. That is very helpful. In the early stages I am still making changes each night trying to adjust and prefer to see the results the next day. I do not like the humidified air, but I wake up with dry nose and throat without it. Here in FL our air is already humid enough and it feels stuffy with the added humidified air on. I turned it off last night but woke up with sore throat today. I just want to be able to check results to see which way is really more beneficial to machine results. I am also having trouble with sinuses so am getting a full mask today. I have tried nasal sprays, inhalers, Afrin, etc.... but always have had night time congestion causing me to breath through mouth. Last night was ok, but previous night I could not use machine at all due to congestion and no other mask.
I could not get used to full mask in clinic so they tried the nasal pillows, but I was not congested that particular night. Once I get to sleep, with nasal pillow on, I am ok, especially with humidifier off. Having it on seems to allow more congestion than off, although that seems to go against what I read here. When I use it, I normally have it set low like 1 or 2 (out of 5).
I guess I will just keep plugging away.
Thanks for your help !
