PR System One LCD screen back light?

Can someone help me? I'm trying to determine if I have a defective PR System One Pro or not.

Basically, I am loving just about everything about this machine except I find that the screen is very hard for me to read in my rooms lighting (also affected by where I have the machine located)

Can anyone tell me if the screen is supposed to light up in some way? I noticed in the options, I can toggle on and off an option for "LED Back Light" but based on my experiments, when thats turned on, it merely keeps the back lit humidity numbers lit through the night instead of them turning off a few minutes after therapy has begun. Doesnt affect the screen at all.

So I was just wondering if anyone else that has a PR System One has a screen that lights up, or if they can confirm that it doesn't and that its not supposed to.

If I do have a defective machine, I would want to try to get a replacement as soon as possible since my machine is only like two weeks old.

I have the same machine and have found the same situation as you. There's no way that I can find to illuminate the LCD screen. I have to shine a flashlight on the screen to read it. I'm surprised that the company didn't add a back-light for the screen.

Same here, I can only turn on/off the back light on the humidifier settings, but there isn't any way you can turn on the back light on the LCD. I sent an email to Respironics about the LCD back light 3 weeks ago and am still waiting for the reply, if ever.

It is a great machine but there are some big deficiencies -lack of any patient interface software and a non-responsive customer support, .

Well, at least I know my machine is not broken. I know the ResMed Elite II has a back lit screen. You think they would follow suit to stay in competition with them.

I wont care nearly as much if/when we get a data software solution, but its annoying at this point. I feel like I need to have a flashlight next to my machine or something for when I want to see the screen.

There is a setting to have the LCD light come on. It is in the "provider" setup mode... "LCD backlight" - ON or OFF.

I have messed with that setting in the secret provider setup menu and couldnt get a screen light to come on. Can anyone confirm actually getting the screen to light up?
