I think I may be able to help out here with some clarification for those of you scoring at home, since I am in the process of learning that dialect. If we rearrange the phrases and state implicitly the implications, I believe what Gary is saying is something akin to the following:
"I'm partially serious, so I apologize to those who understood that about me. I hate smilies. I generally pay attention to that which I can't ignore. It would be dumb for any of us to ignore the fact that we may be stupid."
I may have taken a few small liberties with that translation, but I think I may have caught the spirit of the original text. Am I close, Gary?
