I was wondering what the difference is between the A-flex and C-flex is on Respironics machines and if I could change between the two through the clinician's settings on my Remstar Auto M with A-flex? The bottom of the machine says BiPAP but when I go into the Clinician's menu it says only CPAP and Auto and I could only find C-flex(off,1,2,3).

Re: C-Flex/A-Flex?
Check out http://aflex.respironics.com/ and http://cflex.respironics.com/ for explanations on how they work.
Re: C-Flex/A-Flex?
The A-Flex machines can switch between C-Flex and A-Flex. Some really like A-Flex and some perfer C-Flex. It is an individual thing but it does have both modes. All of them say BiPap on the bottom, I have not figured out why. The Auto has Auto mode and straight CPAP mode but not BiPap. I have the Provider Manual which tells you how to switch from A-Flex to C-Flex. If you will PM me your e-mail address I will be glad to send the manual to you in PDF format.
