OT...and just like that....

Post by carbonman » Sun Oct 11, 2009 3:52 pm

summer is over.

Cold, gray day. A skiff of snow and plenty of cold.

It was forecast to warm up today.....left the house at 31F....
returned at 27F. Water bottles were slush when I got home.

Spring....Fall. ....never got fixed.

Really is nice to be out on a day like this....I pretty much had it to myself.

Too cold to be up on Lookout today.

Carbonman,

Great photos, they show the beauty of the passing seasons.. Your photo of the fall colors is one of the most striking pictures I have seen. I can visualize that one blown up to giantic proportions; and sitting before it transformed by the memories of other fall days.

Sorta makes my 40 miles and 2500 feet of climbing in 60 degree weather today pale in comparison.

The metro area does have a remarkable trail system.
I can do a century from my house w/just ~15miles of that on roads/streets.

We have probably seen the last of the 60F days for the next 4-5mths.
There will be a few here and there.
Guess it just depends on how much you want it.

40miles/2.5K' is an accomplishment in any weather.
Where's the pics??

See you on the road.
