ADP Funding in Ontario

Post by Guest » Thu Oct 08, 2009 10:48 am

Hi everyone! I live in the Toronto area and I'm considering getting set up with a CPAP machine. I know ADP will help pay for it if the machine is on the approved list, but does my mask choice effect whether ADP will cover the set-up? Or is it just dependent on the machine? Also, what happens if I need new filters or my CPAP tube starts to crack? These won't last for 5 years will they?

Thanks

As far as I know (it's been 7 years since I dealt with ADP) their funding does not depend on the mask at all. You get a percentage of the initial machine, mask, hose setup, paid by the ADP and, hopefully, you have an extended health care plan, through work or privately, that will pick up the difference in the initial setup which is a machine, mask and hose. I got to choose my own mask.

Filters don't last 5 years, at least not the disposible ones, and hoses -maybe, maybe not. You need to depend on your extended health plan for replacements of hoses, filters, masks or you will have to pay out of pocket if your extended health care plan does not cover cpap or if you don't have an extended health care plan at all.
