flylow, I am the person behind the regenesis pillow and wanted to try to answer this question since i've asked myself the same thing--and even bought some samples to find out. Millet is interesting but quite different than buckwheat hulls--it's dense stuff. The hulls are most interesting because in the semi-rigid pillow shell (with vertical side panels), they slosh around readily so you can get the elevation you want but once you've achieved the desired elevation, direct downward pressure kind of locks them in place so they stay put. I think that's what some people are trying to explain. The truth is that the pillow is very different from anything you've used before--even if you've used a "standard" buckwheat hull pillow in the past. Good luck in your quest for the best pillow for you!
Try the Scented CPAP Mask with Pur-Sleep's CPAP Aromatherapy--CPAP Diffuser and Essential Oils.

Thanks for the info. I decided last night to order one of your pillows before really getting some perspective on the millet or millet/buckwheat combo. I can't wait to try it and hope I will acclimate to it.

I found I liked big, fat, side-sleep pillows filled with ordinary foam. They are high enough to support my head sleeping on my side, and too high to be comfortable on my back, which I'm supposed to avoid. What I do differently, though, is completely avoid trying to hang my mask over an edge, or making a recess for it. I just nuzzle my face into the middle of the pillow like the old Quattro wasn't even there, and it seems to work for me. It kind of stabilizes the mask rather than knocking it out of place. I found a nice side-sleep pillow like this at Bed, Bath and Beyond, maybe the same one as Kiralynx, and it wasn't expensive. Again, I think I'm in a small minority on this, but if other solutions don't work, give it a try.

I more or less do what you do but I hate a high pillow. This method worked fine most of the time with the fp432 but I did notice some inconsistency. This method is more inconsistent with the quattro as the forehead piece is larger and more apt to be disturbed by the pillow. Last night I managed to get a very straight line but a horrible AHI (~7) so I am off chasing pressures again. It is going to take me a while to get it right with this mask but I think I will get there. Between the pillow for consistent leak free performance and additional small step manual pressure adjustments, hopefully I get better therapy soon. My next machine will be an auto as I do seem to need to change my pressures from time to time.
