All I can come up with at the spur of the moment. Have had a stomach bug and don't feel my best.
Short version is that you have to determine how critical those hypopneas are for you as an individual. I wouldn't panic over them especially since you are reporting feeling good. Everyone is different. I need an overall AHI of less than 3 to feel good. When I have an AHI of 5-9, I feel pretty much like I did precpap days. But then 80% of my events are always Apneas.
Look closely at those Hypopneas on the graph... Associated with leaks? Associated right when you first mask up and probably aren't asleep? Associated with a time frame when you might be awake but just laying in bed. The machine doesn't know if you hold your breath while turning over or just are awake and have longer pauses in breathing which we will do while awake. The machine just flags them.
If you determine that these hypopneas do indeed come when you are asleep and you can't blame them on a large leak, then consider trying to decrease them with a bump in pressure. Go slow, don't obsess, your numbers are really pretty good for just starting out and you are reporting that you feel good. If you were telling us you still felt like total crap, then I would suggest being a bit more aggressive.
The graphs actually tell us more than the summary reports do.
Ohhh, I see Gary posted some of those links I was looking for but I feel so bad didn't want to look for them again,
thanks Gary.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
