Still having no luck with the res med Autoscan downloading to my computer.
Does the software/unit use a driver?
I got it from someone online and did not load it from the disk.
When I attach the cable and go to download it does not read the machine. Followed posted directions, but the option stays dimmed on the toolbar, as if it is having trouble seeing the machine.
Can someone help?

I am not sure exactly what you are trying to do. Did your friend give you the software as a gift? Did your friend try to send the software to you by using a peer to peer program? The software should have some type of security features built into it to prevent software piracy, if you are tryig to get it by using a peer to peer program from a friend. That is probably is what is causing you the problem if you downloaded it.

Maybe someone can relate
Well, I have followed everyone's advise. Except to give up.
Steps to download
1. Attach cable from 'puter to unit with null modem cable F/F
2. Boot computer
3. Boot software. (get error "failure to create activeX server......"connection with flow generator will not be available.... )
4. Turn on CPAP ......nothing in the left column shows active to download.
Anyone else that has a suggestion? I think my "flow generator" ain't gonna talk to my computer or me. Can anyone relate. DEM is useless.
Hate to give up. Not in my nature.
Is there a way to enter the data another way to do charting or comparisons. I am sleeping better reading it daily and tweaking , but part of me wants to play with this.
