Aerophagia search question

Post by plr66 » Tue Sep 22, 2009 4:27 pm

I see there are 160 pages of posts on this subject here. Has anyone bookmarked or indexed one or two especially comprehensive threads describing all the various fixes for this issue? If so, would you please post your links here, rather than do another rerun on such a very old and repetitive topic. (Yes I've noted Tattooyu's new thread today--glad those things worked for him!). I've never had any stomach problems, have used antacids only 4-5X in my life. Since switching from nasal pillows to FFM's, my stomach looks like a beachball. No pain, but it doesn't go away! (No I'm not pregnant!)
DeVilbiss IntelliPap Std Plus with Smartflex; Transcend miniCPAP & Everest2 w/humidifier & batt for travel. UltraMirage FFM; PadACheeks; PaPillow. Using straight CPAP at 13.0/passover humidifier. AHI consistently < 1.5. Began CPAP 9/4/08.

Since my suggestions worked for me, I'll post my thread here.

Both Rooster and I discovered that sleeping on our stomach in the falcon position eliminated our issues with taking in air.

Just make sure its not a medical reason.
Will it go back down if you switch back to nasal pillows? Remember how Bev (OutaSynch) thought she was gaining weight, and it turned out to be a cyst?

Thanks to Track & Ozij for your suggestions. I have had a cyst which grew quickly and required surgery, and this is not that. But I will be attentive to possible medical symptoms. None at this time. I unfortunately can't do the Falcon position due to chronic neck problems.

Would still appreciate anyone who has bookmarked threads on this subject you found to be particularly helpful, to list those links here. Thanks.
