Who me?

I was for love and peace. Smoked Marlborros and wore bell bottoms and tie-died shirts. Drove a VW van and for sure...did not think that if I had a hose to my mouth and nose that a cpap would be at the other end!

Oh, you hippy, you!!! I was on the tail end of the generation, although I did wear the bell bottoms, the tie died shirts and love VW Beetles, with a peace sign on the back, of course...Oh, I can just picture you protesting to end the war in Viet Nam, listening to Jimi Hendrix, and with another type of hose in your mouth...

Well, I did not protest the war, I fought in it. As I was over there and like the iraq soldiers coming back, I thought I made a difference and that the war was not for naught. The rest you have right.

god, look at my picture n ow, who would have guessed! LOL

Well, Lori, can't help you with the pony tail question either.

Didn't sleep through the night last night. I woke up to a lot of hissing sounds (leaks). I finally realized in the morning that there was air leaking underneath. I think the nasal pillows are coming apart at the seam. That's a bit of a disappointment as I don't want to have to send the pillows back for replacement and make due with the UM til then. I could gin up some kind of patch but since the things are not even a week old, it seems silly to settle for that.

Other than that, the mask is working out great.

Michael,

Like I said, I almost freaked a bit when I didn't realize you had to bend the wire to get the pillows in the right position. Since then, I keep periodically going into the bedroom to try it on AGAIN and see if it's still seeming as good as it is. I don't want to say a word until I've tried it tonight. I am not usually a hose-above-the-head type of person, but we'll see how it goes. I find it amazing how the headgear, when you move it, doesn't phase the position of the pillows. If that works like that during the night, all I will say is wow.

But I was overly optimistic about the Breeze and it didn't work out for me at all. So I will keep my mouth sealed until I try it tonight. Oh, please, wish me luck!!! I would like something that works right out of the box. Swift ALMOST did, except for the swoosh marks I had to work on and a little paper taping here and there.

By the way, call wherever you got it and tell them what happened to your pillows. Maybe they can overnight you new ones if you tell them it's your only interface? Technically, it is since it's the one you use every night. Can you make due for now with the other sized ones that come with it?

Lori,

I've been reading some older posts (thanks to RG for the long list of links!!) and found one I hadn't seen before where a couple of people tried their medium pillows out and actually preferred them to the large. So might as well try it.

I did call to inquire about replacement pillows but I think I waited til too late in the day and there was no one in to take the call.

Good luck with yours.

We all know that duct tape fixes everything LOL but I would hope they will take care of you after you get through to them, but until then, can you tape it?

I did not have a lot of luck with the duct tape sealing the hole in the pillow but I must admit to being a right handed person with two left hands when it comes to repairs.

I used the pillow anyway and still had generally good results but I am concerned that the hole will get worse. I posted a few days ago that one night I thought my seal wasn't holding so well part of the night. Now I realize that it was the hole in the pillow starting.

I did try the medium pillows but found that I didn't like the fit nearly as well as the large.

The good news is that cpap.com, where I bought the mask, will be sending me a replacement with no problem.

cpap.com's customer service, any time I've dealt with them, have been nothing but a pleasure. Aren't you glad you bought it here? This is why I bought mine here, too. Whatever my insurance won't cover, I buy here.
