Quick question...I'm thinking of purchasing a contour pillow for CPAP users. I am a stomach sleeper and thought this may help me to be able to continue sleeping on my stomach.
Has anyone purchased/used one of these pillows? Are they worth the $60 or so that they cost?
Thanks!!

Re: Contour Pillow
I've been thinking on and off about this for a couple years. I am interested in seeing the replies from those who actually have purchased them.
What you get in the hear-after depends on what you are after here.
Re: Contour Pillow
I purchased the contour pillow and have been using it for about 4 months now. It is firm and comfortable. I also got the additional 1" thick pad to add to it's height. For side sleeping the contoured cut out allows for the mask to stay in place without pressure from the pillow. It has a recess for back sleeping that cradles your head and supports your neck. I don't sleep on my stomach at all so I don't know how that would be affected. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase, however after purchasing the contour pillow I heard about the Regenesis Pillow, buckwheat hulls and I wonder if it would be as good or better than the contour pillow.

It's Designed for and by a CPAPer and member of this forum -- It has been tested by many user of this forum and a search should show what they think of this pillow!

Re: Contour Pillow
I am one who really likes the PurSleep Regenesis buckwheat pillow. I did need Bret to send me about a gallon of extra hulls for it to work for me after the initial trial I was fortunate to have been selected for; but I am not aware of what his final decision was about the quantity of hulls to include with his final product.
I have always suggested that folks at least try the inexpensive $12 contour memory foam pillow you can find at BigLots in a box rather than the plastic bag (or WalMart, I think). I added a 2" foam slab cut to size for me at a fabric store for a few dollars. Works very very well for side sleeping! I don't sleep on my back or stomach any more because it really makes my therapy go south in a big way.

Re: Contour Pillow
I also really like the Regenesis pillow. You can situate it any way you like. I chose it over the contour because I wasn't sure the cutouts would suit my sleeping position. The Regenesis did take just a couple of days to get used to, because it is firmer than a regular, fluffy pillow. But now I love it. Holds my head exactly the way I want it to. My hubby even likes it, and he's not a CPAPer. Probably going to have to order him one so he doesn't steal mine!
Re: Contour Pillow
i bought the $60 contour pillow...and i like it fine. i don't use it every night...but fairly often. i don't think i would be able to stomach sleep with it...but it's fine for side sleeping...
