cpap and central apnea

Hi, I just got my cpap machine, a Remstar 500 auto m. I have no insurance, so I haven't had a sleep study done. I have recorded myself on video, though, and there's no doubt I have sleep apnea. I haven't had a good night's sleep in probably 20 years. I was told by a doctor that if I set the pressure too high that it might cause central sleep apnea. I have the machine set on auto cpap, minimum 4 and maximum 20 cm with the c flex set to 1. Is this going to cause me any problems? Tonight will be my first time sleeping with the machine. I'm asking for opinions, as I'm having to self medicate, I know it's no substitute for a doctor, but I have to play the hand I'm dealt.

Hmm.... Did you or did you not have a sleep study? You figured out how to spam with your signature but not fill out your equipment profile???
